Lisbon, the capital of Portugal is on the north margin of the river Tejo. In the city itself a bit over half a million people live and in the surrounding area, which is known as Greater Lisbon there are around 2 million people. It’s one of the oldest cities in Europe and well worth a visit.
Around the Lisbon there are a lot of interesting sites awaiting a visit, beginning with Sintra, the beautifull village with palaces and manor houses. Cascais and the beaches like Guincho. On the other side of Tejo pituresque Sesimbra by the sea is a great place to eat fish. Also Portinho da Arrábida is a wonderful place. all together with the beautiful beaches of Costa da Caparica.
